From Shelbyville, Ind., Taylor was a four-year letter winner at Shelbyville High School, earning an All-America honorable mention. He was also a four-year letter winner in soccer, with an All-Conference selection. This past season at Eastern Michigan, Taylor had nine hits and five RBI in 12 games.
