From Vienna, Va., Knauf participated in both baseball and swim and dive while at Bishop O'Connell High School. During his freshman year at the College of Wooster in 2021, Knauf recorded two saves and had a team-best 2.04 ERA in 17 2/3 innings. He's majoring in environmental geoscience.
