Aces look to Defend the Frank in Game 2

The No. 6 Alexandria Aces host the No. 1 Bethesda Big Train in game two of the semi-final bout at Frank Mann Field Saturday for a 6:30 p.m. start.
It’s a must-win game for the Pinstripes facing elimination as Bethesda leads the series 1-0.
LHP Connor Campbell (Florence-Darlington Tech) gets his first post-season start for Alexandria riding an 8.57 ERA on the regular season slate through 8 appearances. Campbell – donning a 1-3 record – notably started for the Aces back on June 16 tossing four frames in the club’s lone victory over Bethesda in an 8-4 final score.
Ryan Daughtry (Saint Mary’s) opposes on the mound. He comes into the postseason with a perfect 2-0 record in three starts. He last saw the Aces June 18 in a 5 walk, 4 strikeout outing; he threw five shutout innings earning the win.
An Aces win would force game three to be played back at Bethesda Sunday night.
