Aces take on the Big Train on a Father’s Day Double Header

The Alexandria Aces ride a two-game winning streak into Bethesda, Maryland for a double-header at Shirley Povich Field for a date with the league’s frontrunning Big Train Sunday.
First pitches are set for 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. The Aces will serve as the “home team” for game one.
The Pinstripes sit in last place after a slow start – four games behind Bethesda – but have a chance to get some ground back on the road trip.
The Big Train are coming off a 10-0 victory over Gaithersburg Saturday claiming sole possession of first place in the standings. They’ve now won four straight to a 6-2 record.
The last time Alexandria traveled to Shirley Povich Field they left hitless in a 8-0 loss earlier this month. The Aces have since grown into their own averaging over six runs per night on nine knocks.
Seth Marano (Lansing CC) and Connor Campbell (Florence-Darlington Tech) are slated to be the starters for Alexandria. Opposing them is Andrew Vail and Logan Barker.
