Aces head to Silver Spring (Preview)

The Alexandria Aces came up empty handed in a scheduled four-game homestand behind a pair of rainouts. The club travels to Maryland Thursday taking on the Silver Spring – Takoma Thunder Bolts.
First pitch from Blair Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
Jared Lyons (George Mason) is set to start for the Aces. He leads the club with five innings pitched for a perfect 0.00 ERA behind seven strikeouts in his lone start at Gaithersburg earlier this month. His lone run allowed in the 3-2 loss reached on an error before swiping two bases and then home on a passed ball.
Opposing on the mound, the T Bolts rotation is set to pitch Yash Rane. The right-hander holds a 6.75 ERA in his one start at Bethesda. He administered seven walks, picked up four punchouts, and allowed three earned runs during his four innings at the rubber.
The T Bolts remain the final club within the Ripken League cycle the Aces are yet to play. They sit on a 3-4 record while Alexandria is still looking for their first win of the summer.
The T Bolts are fresh off a 5-0 dethroning of the first place D.C. Grays Wednesday night just two games back from the frontrunner.
