Game 24 – Aces @ DC Grays

After dropping two tough games in a row in the double header yesterday against The Rockville Express, the Aces will play their final game before the two day 4th of July break against the DC Grays at Washington Nationals Youth Complex.  The Aces, who have struggled as of late losing 8 of their last 10 ball games could really use a momentum swing tonight against the DC Grays as the Aces are still in play for the last playoff spot in the Cal Ripken Collegiate League.  If the Aces can deliver a road win tonight, they are far from being done this season and a victory could propel them back to the playoffs as most Aces fans were anticipating early on the season.

The Aces will have an advantage tonight on the mound when they throw their right handed Ace Carter Bosch who is still leading the Cal Ripken Collegiate League in ERA at an outstanding 0.46.  Bosch who has been masterful hitting his spots for accuracy this summer, will need to bring his best stuff tonight for the Aces to get back on track to their winning ways.  Bosch, who is making a case to be the best pitcher in all of the CRCL has not even played baseball at the college level yet as he just graduated from local high school Potomac and will be enrolling in the fall to continue his baseball career at Georgetown University.  When you add his age to the what he is doing on the mound for the Aces, it is astonishing to say the least.

The Aces will be going against the DC Grays right hander Michael Delio who is a  6 foot 3 right handed pitcher from SUNY New Paltz University in New York.  Delio has a record of 1 win no losses so far in CRCL play and has a 4.95 ERA in 20 innings of work with 15 strikeouts.  Delio can offer some great off speed pitches as well as a fastball that he likes to paint on the inside and outside corners keeping hitters off balance at the plate.  The Aces need to get on Delio early today if they want to steal a road victory against the Grays at Washington Nationals Youth Park today.
