The Alexandria Aces are excited to announce the promotion of Kimmy McCarthy as the next General Manager. In 2014, Kimmy became a diehard fan of the Aces attending every single game during that season. When Lou Nolan joined the Aces front office as General Manager in 2015, he quickly recognized Kimmy’s ability and passion leading him to hire her as the Assistant General Manager. Kimmy and Lou worked well together for the 2015 and 2016 seasons and she was able to learn the various aspects of game day operations. Kimmy has been acting general manager since Lou Nolan stepped down this past January. Her roles and responsibilities will include hiring and managing game day staff, effectively running game day operations including scorekeeping, broadcasting and social media as well as managing game day events such as little league night, game day sponsorships and first pitches.
Working full-time as an IT Specialist for the General Services Administration (GSA) in Washington, D.C., Kimmy offers a wealth of leadership and superior organizational skills to the Aces. Kimmy grew up in Vienna, VA and was an avid softball player for 15 years. She currently resides in Alexandria, VA and is excited for her new role in the Aces organization.
The Aces are excited to welcome Kimmy as the new General Manager!
