Aces Announce 2017 Coaching Staff

The Alexandria Aces are pleased to announce the 2017 coaching staff led by Manager David DeSilva. 

David DeSilva returns for a sixth season with the Alexandria Aces and his fifth as the Manager. With a regular season record of 92-72, DeSilva is looking to take the Aces to the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League championship. Last season, the Aces finished third in the league with a 23-17 record. Manager DeSilva holds the all-time wins record as well as highest winning percentage in Aces organizational history.

Chris Berset joins the Aces coaching staff with over 7 seasons of playing experience in the minor leagues.  Currently a co-owner of Prime Time Baseball in Alexandria, Chris played collegiately at the University of Michigan. When asked about Berset, DeSilva said “There was no doubt that Chris is the right guy for the job. His passion for the game of baseball is unmatched and everything about the Aces excites him. In addition, he is a local guy that can provide a long term, stable solution for my staff.”

The Aces begin their 10th season Tuesday, June 6 against the D.C. Grays before their home opener Friday June 9 versus the Baltimore Redbirds at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the main gate prior to the game at Frank Mann Field, 3700 Commonwealth Avenue.
